Prayer by the Chaplain, The Reverend Bruce Henderson.
Our Father who art in Heaven, here we are again with a mixture of old and new. Old friends and new ones, a seasoned staff as well as new staff members, an old institution in new surroundings with new furnishings and those already famous new chairs.
We ask this session for the comfort and stability of the old, yet the energy and excitement of the new to keep us going and growing in harmony and compassion. Thank You. Amen.

Assemblyman Perkins moved that further reading of the Journal be dispensed with, and the Speaker and Chief Clerk be authorized to make the necessary corrections and additions.

Assembly Bill No. 33--An Act making an appropriation to the Great Basin College, Winnemucca Center, for equipment and landscaping; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

Assemblyman Arberry moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Motion carried.

Senate Bill No. 1.
Assemblyman Perkins moved that all rules be suspended, reading so far had considered first reading, rules further suspended, bill declared an emergency measure under the Constitution and placed on third reading and final passage.
Motion carried unanimously.
